After retiring from the music industry, ask me about those years sometime, and moving from Atlanta to the Raleigh area in 2001, Greg focused his attention on wedding and portrait photography. It took a couple of years to re-establish the studio in a new market and network into the local scene, but eventually the studio was running strong. The IMAGE MILL was busy cranking out dozens of weddings each year, capturing engagement, bridal, family and children's portraits, editing tens of thousands of images annually, designing, producing & delivering stacks of wedding albums, prints and all the other goodies in demand. The studio was in demand and gaining award winning status, having work published throughout the southeast and exceeding clients expectations.
At some point after several years of a full schedule at every possible moment, it was time for a lengthy 'get away' and that's when Greg made his first visit to the Outer Banks.
" When I crossed over the Alligator River Bridge for the first time I knew I was somewhere very special. The beauty of our coast is endless, inspiring and breathtaking. It draws me back several times each year. Maybe someday I'll just stay!"
As the wedding photography business became more and more demanding and less expensive technology affected the value of the services and products being offered, the decision was made to phase out the wedding part of the business and focus on capturing what had become an insatiable passion at that point, THE GREAT OUTDOORS!
"I now spend much of my time traveling the great state of North Carolina, and sometimes beyond, capturing some of the most beautiful places, subjects and scenery God ever created. Then I work tirelessly to share my photography and vision with others who appreciate Mother Nature as I do. Saying I'm blessed would be an understatement."

Most current gallery images were captured throughout the state of North Carolina. All of the images on this website are available for purchase through the website or by ordering directly through the studio.
